SectionⅣGrammar&Writing

Thedriverfailedtoseeanothercarintime. Shespokeatthemeetingyesterdayevening.

HereachedParisthedaybeforeyesterday.

/determine,learn,want,expect/hope/wish,refuse,manage,care,pretend,offer,promise,choose,plan,agree,ask/beg,help

,afford等。ShepretendednottoseemewhenIpassedby. Weagreedtomeetherebutsofarshehasn’tturnedupyet.

e’reconsideringbuyinganewcar. Youshouldavoidmentioninghisdivorce. ③动词不定式作动词tell,show,understand,explain,teach,lea

rn,advise,discuss,ask,decide,wonder,findout等词的宾语时,常构成“动词+how,what,whether,where,when,who等引导词+todo结构”。Heshowedus

howtodothework.=Heshowedushowweshoulddothework.他告诉我们怎样做这个工作。Idon’tknowwhattodo.=Idon’tknowwhatI’lldo.我不知道该怎么办。(2)后接双宾语。有些动

词后面可以接两个宾语,即指人的间接宾语和指物的直接宾语,这两个宾语称为“双宾语”,可以接双宾语的动词有accord(给予),assign(分配),award(授予),bring(带来),give(给),hand(

交给),leave(留给),lend(借给),offer(提供),make(使,制作),cook(做饭),build(建造)等。Pleasehandmethebookoverthere.

由to引出的间接宾语的动词有give,show,pass,lend,tell等;由for引出的动词有buy,make,cook,get,sing,read等。Thepianistgavethepupilssomeadvice.

=Thepianistgavesomeadvicetothepupils.

IheardhersinganEnglishsongjustnow. Iheardhersi

nginganEnglishsongwhenIpassedbyherroomyesterday. IheardtheEnglishsongsungmanytimes.

leavesb.todosth.留下某人做某事(不定式表示将来动作)leavesth.tobedone留下某事要做(不定式表示将来动作)leavesb.doi

ngsth.

sleftmostofthedishesuntouched,becausetheydidn’ttastedelicious.

ourmeeting,leavingmanyproblemstobesettled. a.havesb.dosth./getsb.todosth.

Ican’tgethimtostopsmoking.Hewon’tlistentome.

。b.have/getsb.doing使/让某人持续地做某事(现在分词表示动作正在进行)have/getsth.doing使某物开始行动(或运转)起来Thecaptainhadthesoldiersmoving

towardthefrontafterashortrest. Don’thavethewate

rrunningallthetime. c.havesth.done=getsth.done“使/让某事由别人去做”(叫/让某人做某事)I’llhave/getmybikerepairedtomorrow.

此外,havesth.done还表示“使遭受……”之意。Tomhadhislegbrokenwhileplayingfootball. Mr.Smithhadhishousebrokenintowhilehewasawayonholiday.

④在主动语态句中,动词make,have,let,see,watch,hear,feel等后接动词不定式作宾语补足语时,动词不定式不加to。 Thebossmadethemworktenhoursaday.(主动语态)Th

et,invite,love,order,persuade,prefer,require,teach,tell,want,warn,wish等。Thedoctorwarnedhimnottoeattoomuc

hmeat. allow/advise/forbid/permitdoingsth.allow/advise/f

orbid/permitsb.todosth.Wedon’tallowsmokinghere. Wedon’tallowstudentstosmoke.

Themillionairepossessesgreatwealth.

Weshouldfitourdeedstoourwords. Nooneequalshiminintelligence.

Ilistenedbutcouldnothearanysound. Everyonelistenedtothelecturewithgreati

nterest. 对接高考Ifsteelisheavierthanwater,whyareshipsabletofloat____________thesea?

Theflowerssmellsweet. Thefoodtastesnice. Itcan’tm

4.Whydoesthewr

nddisappointment.” 5.What’sthemeaningoftheunderlinedword“forgone”inParagrap

h3?A.Givenup.B.Comeacross.C.Gotthrough.D.Heldback.A解析:词义猜测题。

故选A项。6.TheauthordecidedtogotoherofficeonGoodFridayto________.A.seeadoctorB.finishherworkC.joinacelebra

tionD.accompanyherfatherD解析:细节理解题。

7.Whatisthebesttitleforthepassage?A.A

dvicefromMyFatherB.AvoidanceofSaying“IfOnly”C.The“ExtraMinute”RuleD.TheImportanceofEmotionalWellbeingB解析:标题归纳题。

CFormanyyears,BruceBexlerdreamedofgoingwherenohumanhadgonebefore.Hewantedtocutapath

c.D.Careful.A解析:推理判断题。

9.WhatdoesBruceBexlermeaninParagraph5whenhesays“Wewerelikekidsinacandystore”?A.Theydidn’thaveenoughfooda

ndwerehungry.B.Theywereveryexcitedaboutwhattheysaw.C.Theyweremisbehavinglikenaughtychildren.D.Theyknewthatiftheykeptsearching,they’dfindsugar.B解析

10.Whydidsomeoftheanimalsallowthescientiststopickthemup?A.Thescientistss

eemedtobeveryfriendly.B.Thescientistswereskilledinhandlinganimals.C.Theanimalshadbeenwelltrainedbythelocalpeople.D.Theanimalshadnoexper

ienceorfearofpeople.D解析:细节理解题。

playanimportantrolein

9.poste

这里指的是thepastarticles(以前的文章),也就是说是以前发布的,所以用一般过去时。
