SectionⅣGrammar&Writing[学生用书P71]宾语补足语&主谓一致宾语补足语英语中句子的宾语需要进一步补充说明时,其后常接补充成分,称为宾语补足语。可以充当宾语补足语的有:名词、形容词、副词、动词不定式、现在分

词、过去分词、介词短语等。一、名词作宾语补足语能以名词作宾语补足语的动词有:name,call,appoint,find,consider,choose,elect,think,leave,keep等。TheynamedtheirsonDick.他们给儿子取名为迪克。Theylef

tmenofood.他们没有给我留下吃的。(1)表示头衔或职务的名词作宾语补足语时,名词前不加冠词。(2)“动词+宾语+宾语补足语”结构变为被动结构时,宾语补足语则相应变为主语补足语。WeelectedhimChairman.我们选他当主席。(Chairman为宾语补足语)Hewa

selectedChairman.他被选为主席。(Chairman为主语补足语)二、形容词作宾语补足语可以接形容词作宾语补足语的动词有:make,prove,leave,find,think,consider,keep等。Hewillmakeherha

sk,beg,expect,teach,want等。Hismotherdoesn’tallowhimtosmoke.他母亲不允许他抽烟。Shewantedherhusbandtobuyacarforher.她想让丈夫给她买辆车。2.可跟不带to的不定式作宾语补足语的动词有:make,have,

let,feel,see,notice,watch,observe等。Thisskirtmakesherlookveryyoung.这条裙子使她看起来很年轻。Sheletsherchildrenplayinthegarden.她让孩子们在花园里玩。在被动结构中,不定式不能

省略to。Sheismadetoleaveschoolbyherfather’sdeath.=Herfather’sdeathmakesherleaveschool.由于父亲去世,她辍学了。五、现在分词作宾语补足语可以跟现在分词作宾语补足语的动词有:see,watch,hear,

feel,notice,smell,observe,lookat,listento,find,have,keep,set,get,leave(使……保持)等。Isawthemarguinginthemiddleofthestreet.我看见他们在街道中间争辩不休。现在分词作宾语补

足语表示动作正在进行,不定式作宾语补足语表示动作的全过程。WhenIpassedbytheplaygroundyesterday,Isawmyclassmatesplayingbasketball.昨天我经过操场的时候看到我

的同学正在打篮球。Myneighborsawastrangercomeintomyhouse.我的邻居看到一个陌生人进了我的房子。六、过去分词作宾语补足语能接过去分词作宾语补足语的动词与可接现在分词作宾语补足语的词基本一致,但应注意此时补足语与宾语之间

存在逻辑上的被动关系。Hispatiencemakeshimselfunderstood.他的耐心让他得到了别人的理解。(himself和understand之间为逻辑上的被动关系)七、介词短语作宾语

补足语Ifoundhimathome.我发现他在家里。八、介词with后常跟宾语补足语构成复合宾语with+n./pron.+adj./adv./todo/v.­ing/v.­ed/prep.短语Withalltheworkfinished,shehastimetogoshopping

构成短语letsb.dosth.。③Themanagerwassatisfiedtoseemanynewproducts____________(develop)aftergreateffort.经理很满意地看到在做出很大的努力后,许多新产品被开发出来了。developed解析:

分析题干可知,题干中含有“see+宾语+宾语补足语”结构;宾语manynewproducts与develop之间为被动关系,故要用过去分词作宾语补足语。主谓一致主谓一致可依据三条原则:语法一致、意义一致和就近一致原则。一、

语法一致原则1.一般来说,主语是单数,谓语动词用单数形式;主语是复数,谓语动词用复数形式。Myfatherisinchargeofthecompany.我父亲掌管这家公司。Whattheteachersaidisofgreatimportance.老师说的话非常重要。Thenumberofstud

entshasbeenincreasinginrecentyears.这几年,学生的数量一直在增长。2.并列主语指的是同一个人,同一事物或同一概念时,谓语动词用单数,如:breadandbutter/aknifeandfork/needleand

thread/acartandhorse/ateacherandwriter等。若and连接的并列单数主语的前面分别有each,every,no或manya修饰,谓语动词用单数。Acartandhorsewassee

ninthedistance.看见远处有一辆马车。Inthishotel,thebreadandbutterisservedforbreakfast.这家旅馆早餐提供面包和黄油。Everyboyandeverygirlhastherighttorec

eiveeducation.每个男孩和女孩都有接受教育的权利。Manyashiphasbeenwreckedontheserocks.许多船只在触礁后失事。3.倒装句中谓语动词应与后面的主语一致。Onthew

allwerefamouspaintings.挂在墙上的是著名画作。4.主语后接aswellas/togetherwith/but/except/like/including/inadditionto时,谓语动词要与主语一致。NobodybutTomwashere

.除了汤姆没有人在这儿。Hisparents,togetherwithhim,aregoingtovisitthemuseum.他的父母将同他一起去参观博物馆。5.each,either,neither或由some,a

rtantthingsuntiltomorrow____________(be)oftenacceptable.把不太重要的事情留到明天是可以接受的。is解析:分析句子结构可知,动名词短语Leavingthelessimportantthingsuntiltomorrow作主语,故谓

语动词用单数。⑤Confuciusbelievedkniveswouldremindpeopleofkillingsand____________(be)tooviolentforuseatthetable.孔子认为刀会给人们杀戮的提醒,用在餐桌上太暴力。were解析:

主语是knives,讲述的是过去的事情,所以用were。⑥Generally,students’innermotivationwithhighexpectationsfromothers____________(be)essential

totheirdevelopment.一般说来,别人对其期望值高的学生,他们的内在动机对自身的发展是至关重要的。is解析:考查主谓一致和动词时态。主语为motivation,故谓语用单数;根据语境及generally可知,描述的是一般情况,故使用一般现

在时。二、意义一致原则1.作主语用的集体名词作为一个整体看待时,谓语动词用单数;若指其中的所有成员,谓语动词则用复数。Thecommitteewasmadeupof10members.委员会由10个成员组成。Th

sarychanges.三个星期的时间被用来作出必要的改变。3.定冠词the+adj.表示一类人时,谓语动词一般用复数。TheEnglishspeakEnglish.英国人说英语。Thesickhavebeenc

可根据不同情况,选用Fellowstudents,Distinguishedguests,Mr.Chairman,HonorableJudges(评委)等。由于演讲的时间限制,英语演讲稿首先开头要开门见山地提出论题。如T

odayI’mheretoshowyou.../tellyousomethingabout...;We’regatheringheretoviewsome...等。中间要用各种方法和所准备的材料说明、支持你的论点,关键是要把道理讲

清楚。常见的论证方法有举例法、因果法、对比法等。结尾加强说明论点或得出结论,以给听众留下深刻的印象。同时向听众表达谢意,尤其是不要受汉语影响,说些类似“准备不足,请谅解”,“请批评指正”这样的话。常用语有:Thankyouverymuchforyouratte

稿的写作有严格的要求,就内容而言要主题鲜明、表达完整;就文章组织结构而言要思维清晰、逻辑性强;就语言而言要有感染力、形象生动。多用实词、短句,少用结构复杂的长句。演讲稿要注意使用各种修辞手法,增加演讲的感染力和气势。常用的修辞手法有:渐进(cli

max)、对照(antithesis)、比拟(parallelism)、警句(epigram)等。例如:Thatgovernmentofthepeople,bythepeople,forthepeopleshallnotperishfromthe

earth.(排比)这个民有、民治、民享的国家将不会从地球上消失。United,thereislittlewecannotdo;divided,thereislittlewecando.(对照)团结,我们便将无所不能;分裂,我们则会一事无成。Ask

notwhatyourcountrycandoforyou,askwhatyoucandoforyourcountry.(对照)不要问你们的国家能为你们做些什么,而要问你们能为你们的国家做些什么。尽量避免使用生僻、模糊、晦涩的字词。

同时不要用太多Ifeel,Ithink之类的词,会使人觉得缺乏说服力。另外,perhaps,maybe这样的词语,虽然有“客气,谦虚”的成分,但出现太多会让人觉得演讲的内容有不可靠之处。写作要求实现有效的沟通,
