er.”Otherkindsofmaterials,suchassaltsorhydrogels,cannotoperateinextremeweatherconditions,inanenergy-efficientm
annerandwithahighcapacityallatonce.ThenewMOF-poweredharvesterscanbeanexceptionallypowerfultooltoaddresswatershortageissuesrelatedt
oanythingfromdrinkingwatertoagriculture.Thistechnologycanalsobeusedtosecurepurewaterinareaswherewateris
plentifulbutnotclean.It’salsoextremelyefficientatharvestingwater,releasingasdrinkingwater85to90percentofthewat
eritcapturesasatmosphericvapor.Itharvestedupto285gramsofwaterperkilogramofthemetal-organicframeworkinaday,theamountofacupofwater.It’salsosmaller
thantheearliertypebutitisevenmoreenergy-efficient.Itproduced200gramsofcleanwaterpersquaremeterofwaterv
