tofNewYear’sEve,peoplesetofffirecrackersandfireworks.ItisoneofthemostpopularwaysofcelebratingtheSpringFestival’scoming.Itissoexcitingthat

peoplealwaysstayuplateuntiltheearlyhoursofthemorning.OntheSpringFestival,peoplewearnewclothestowelcometheNewYear’scoming.Early

inthemorning,peoplegreetrelativesandfriendswithcongratulationsandwishgoodlucktoeachother.ThiscustomiscalledNewYearGreetings.

Thenchildrenreceivetheirluckymoneyinredpocketsfromtheirgrandparents,theirparents,theirrelativesandfriends

oftheirparents.Itisbelievedthatredpocketmoneycanbringgoodluck.Whenthechildrengettheirluckymoney,theyalwaysgiv

etheirbestregardswithauspicious(吉利的)words.TherearelotsofotheractivitiescelebratingtheSpringFestival,suchasdifferenteveningpartiesanddancing,

butthemostpopularonesaredragondancesandliondances.2
