y30percent.Bycontrast,removingthedeadleaveshasalmostnoeffectontheanimalsintheunderlyingsoil,butdecrea

sedthetotalanimalabundance(inthesoilanddeadleaves)by60percentinrainforestandrubberplantationsduetophysicallitterremoval.Thestudy
