ahealthywork-lifebalance.Butthisonlyhelpsduringtheleaststressfultimes.I'malifelongnoveltyseeker.Thishasn'talwaysservedmewell.Butinmysecond

yearofgraduateschool,itcametomyrescue.Thepressuretopassmyqualifyingexamwasmounting,Iwaswiredwithnervousenergy,andIneededsomekindo

frelease.So,Iinvitedoneofmyfellowgraduatestudentstocomeswimmingwithme--inariver,inthemiddleofwinter,byjumpingoffacliff.Th

emomentIjumpedintothewater,Iimmediatelyfeltasurgeofenergyandfear.WhenIsurfaced(浮出水面),Iwastotallyenergize
